The Challenge
Most clinical programmes generate genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and clinical data. Without integration, those datasets remain fragmented - and the biology stays hidden.
The Risk
Without a complete view of the biology, important biomarker signals can be missed, patient stratification opportunities overlooked, and trial outcomes become harder to explain.
The Outcome
Multi-omic approaches help uncover the biological factors influencing treatment response, enabling more informed clinical trial decisions.
Questions This Webinar Helps Answer
Explore how multi-omic analysis can help answer some of the most important questions facing translational and clinical teams.
Identify Patients Most Likely to Respond
Explore how integrated molecular analysis can help investigate which patients respond to treatment and surface biological signals that single-biomarker approaches may miss.
See Multi-Omics Applied in a Real Clinical Programme
Hear directly from Candel Therapeutics' CSO on how multi-omic analysis informed biomarker strategy and clinical development decisions.
Discover Unexpected Biological Signals
Learn how integrated multi-omic analysis can uncover relationships that may be missed using traditional one-biomarker-at-a-time approaches - including signals you weren't specifically looking for.
Generate Defensible Biomarker Evidence
Learn how integrated data analysis can strengthen confidence in biomarker findings and support evidence-based programme decisions.
What You'll Learn
Multi-Omic Strategies for Patient Stratification
An expert overview of how multi-omic approaches - including MOFA and integrated data analysis - help investigate treatment response and surface biological signals across data modalities in oncology programmes.
Candel Therapeutics Case Study
Dr Francesca Barone walks through how Candel applied multi-omic analysis to a Phase 2 trial in non-small cell lung cancer - including the MOFA-driven biomarker strategy and what the analysis revealed about treatment response and site of injection.
Applying Multi-Omics in Practice
Learn how teams can move from fragmented datasets to actionable clinical insights, with practical lessons from real-world programme experience.
Candel Therapeutics
See how Candel Therapeutics used multi-omic analysis to investigate treatment response in a Phase 2 NSCLC programme - and how integrating data across biological platforms surfaced signals that neither the mechanism of action nor individual biomarker analysis would have revealed alone.
- Multi-omic data integration
- Multi-modal biomarker analysis
- Biomarker discovery
- Clinical trial decision support
- Translational insights from a Phase 2 programme
Phase 2 Trial in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
CAN-2409 was studied in stage 3/4 non-resectable NSCLC patients who had failed checkpoint inhibitors. Median overall survival exceeded 22 months across both cohorts - against a standard of care expectation of around 12 months.
Integrated Biomarker Analysis
Sonrai integrated flow cytometry, CyTOF and proteomics (O-link) data across more than 3,200 variables per patient using MOFA - identifying 22 factors that captured coherent biological patterns across platforms and correlating them with clinical outcomes.
Response-Associated Biomarker Patterns
MOFA integration surfaced Factor 18 - a latent biological pattern correlating with survival outcomes, injection site and histology. These signals were not anticipated from the mechanism of action and would not have emerged from single-platform analysis.
Programme Discussed in This Webinar
